Position Overview
WhitworthKee Consulting is hiring a Director of Research to oversee research and evaluation projects across multiple organization types with greater focus on government agencies. This position is full-time, salaried, and a comprehensive benefits structure.
The Director of Research will be responsible for:
Project Management:

- Oversee and manage the entire life cycle of mid- to large-sized research projects, ensuring timely completion and adherence to allocated budgets.
- Lead project teams, defining clear roles, responsibilities, and timelines.
- Ensure all projects are compliant with U.S. Federal Government requirements and regulations.
Research Oversight:

- Direct the formulation, design, and implementation of research methodologies and frameworks across projects.
- Oversee the collection, analysis, and reporting of research data to ensure quality and accuracy.
Stakeholder Engagement:

- Maintain open and proactive communication with U.S. Federal Government representatives, ensuring all deliverables and updates are provided as required.
- Collaborate with internal departments, including senior leadership to ensure projects are well-supported.
- Communicate effectively with senior and junior level team members.
Team Leadership:

- Mentor, guide, and support research team to include both employees and consultants.
- Oversee the professional development of team members.
- Lead recruitment efforts to ensure the department is staffed with top-tier professionals.
Budget Management:

- Collaborate with finance to forecast and manage research project budgets.
- Ensure cost-effective allocation of resources and manage procurement processes as needed.
Reporting & Documentation:

- Ensure meticulous documentation of all research processes, findings, and reports.
- Deliver comprehensive reports to both internal stakeholders and the U.S. Federal Government.

Preferred Qualifications
The following qualifications are preferred, but not required to be considered for the Director of Research role:

- A Master’s degree or PhD in a social sciences, data science, statistical analysis, psychometrics, education psychology, or a related field
- Extensive experience and/or working knowledge using the following software products: MS Office products, R, SPSS, STATA, SAS, Atlas.ti, Nvivo, or Dedoose
- More than 10 years’ experience managing federal government grants and contract awards
- Prior experience working for a government agency preferred, or for a government contractor agency supporting governmental contractual projects
- As a condition of working on the project, some of the federal agencies with whom we have contracts require that our employees satisfactorily complete a background investigation or security clearance. You will be required to undergo the necessary security clearance if you are chosen for such a project.

- Base salary range: $120,000 – $150,000, commensurate with experience
